Fauna the Braixen

Fauna the Braixen

They found her hiding in the fields when she was still just a little Fennekin.
Fur as golden as the grain around her and ember eyes that were piercing even the dark of the night with it's shine.

Nobody had an idea where she came from, but everyone in the village knew that there was something special about her.

Offering only their most valuable of food and jewelry to her they named her Fauna, in reminiscence of their goddess of fertility and abundance,  keeping her around for good luck and a successful harvest.

And lo and behold, in the following weeks the small village had the greatest yield that they could have only ever dreamed of in their lifes.
But Fauna... She knew that she didn't had any to do with it.

She simply enjoyed her life of bliss in that little village that now revered her like a god.

She would only do as much as nod and the villagers would bring her all she wanted.
Building her a shrine that she would call her own she would never have to fear the cold or predators of the night ever again.

Even now much later as a Braixen she doesn't have much more to do than swing around her stick every now and then to make it rain and everyone will kneel before her.

And still...
Even with all of this, there were still things that she wasn't allowed to do...

She grew bored of being confied to the tiny village that surrounded the shrine she called her home.
She became jealous of all these people that enjoyed the wine and alcohol that she was responsible for with her powers, but wasn't allowed to drink herself.

She didn't want to give her blessings to all those freshly married couples to wish them luck and safe childbirth while she didn't even knew the touch of someone dear herself.

She had to stay pure.
That's what they always instilled into her, so that she would keep bringing them good harvest.

Fauna wasn't stupid enough to throw away her life here in paradise, but she wasn't modest enough to simply give up on the other things either...

She began to keep track of everyones schedules and habits, made sure when everyone in the village would be busy or sleeping.

There was this boy that she took a liking to for a while now.
He was a good looking young man and he always treated her nicely, more so than the rest of the village...

Stealing a big jar of the best wine she would find she hid it, ready to offer it to the boy when it's his turn to protect the shrine tonight and everyone else was long asleep.

And then....

  1. That was a good read.
It's nice to have a context to immerse ourselves into.

    1. I guess I kind of need that immersion to even draw something so I always have these kind of backgrounds, if people like them I might always post them along with the animations.
      Thanks for reading ;>

  3. I’d love it if you posted your backstories along with the animations. Cuz now my perception of fauna went from just a horny braixen princess. To a spoiled sheltered but lonely braixen that’s tired of watching people enjoy things she’s forbidden to have. Like sharing a drink and being close with someone. And I love that.

just for fun and curiosity. Can she actually talk with the villagers or does she have to try and motion what she wants like a game of charades? I’ve been having fun thinking about that at work.

    1. Glad you like it and I'll try to do it more often then. :3

Fauna herself can't actually talk with the villagers but normally doesn't even need to ask for anything since she's got everything she needs/knows.

Interacting with the villagers is also a bit awkward since everyone is kind of scared of her in a way too.
I'll try to add some more story when the animation is done if it fits to it since there's still some of it that I think would be nice to share.
