Hey everyone,
I've held back posting this for a bit now but I guess I had to do it at some point.
I've last updated a month ago when I was about halfway done with the second animation for the upcoming demo and wanted to have both (demo and 3 animations) done by now.
As you can guess by me staying quiet for too long I've never actually got around to finishing them in time.
As of now I've finished 2 of the 3 models/animations and started the third, but a lot of ongoing stuff in my life made it hard to concentrate/spend enough time on them and I'm less than satisfied with how they turned out.
Given the time I've already spend on everything I won't remake them completely, but I at least had to take a step back and rethink of how I go on for now since I will neither be able to finish the demo nor the animations before end of the year with how things went.
I'm posting this to apologize to everyone that I've ignored/wasn't able to reply to over the month and those of you that were actually looking forward to releases.
I'm going to stay away from uploads/updates a bit longer to work on everything without pressure and try to figure things out, so I hope to make up with an improved quality on whatever I do upload when I'm ready.
I'll still be around in Discord from time to time, so simply leaving me a message when you've got questions will be enough if you want to reach me!
I'm sorry again everyone.

Do not feel bad about that bro, we understand you, or at least I do, since, having the daily job and this great project, I cannot imagine the great load of stress and fatigue that this entails, so, do not worry for us, because only your true fans, me included, will follow you and wait as long as necessary.

Nothing to apologize for at all on this, it's been a really hard year and I'm sure everyone's more than happy for you to take things at the pace that feels right to you. As long as you're still enjoying the project, all is well, take as long as you need to!
ReplyDeletehey fair enough games are a hard thing to develop and with everything going on it can be hard to focus on anything, so just take your time with what your doing or you will just end up hating it. good luck with life! :)

You should take pride in your work, you have very good artistic skill. I hope to see a great conclusion to this project eventually. I wish you the best in life!

Hello, just wanted to say I played the sketch demo, and I absolutely loved it ^^
ReplyDeleteI recently finished a path in the sketch demo and I wanted to let you know how amazing the entire story was. I remember the original demo ending at the fair but this sketch demo was so much bigger and better, I can't believe I didn't find out about it sooner. Your descriptions of Braixen were really good, I could easily imagine her fur rubbing on me, and and it's very easy to get into the story. Your descriptions of emotion and sketches always made me smile whenever Braixen was overjoyed, and sad whenever I saw a sketch of Braixen in tears. There were only minor issues while I played like occasionally not loading/freezing but that's probably because I used the browser version, and either way I got around that solution by saving often. The only "problem" the game has are a few spelling errors but even those are so minimal and don't take away from the game. I know you have a lot on your plate and are working on the game whenever you can, but this sketch demo alone was amazing, and I wanted to say that I'm sure even if it took 2 or more years to finish from now, everyone would be very exited and overjoyed to play through your visual novel.

Sometimes, whenever something happened or someone did something, and I made a reply to myself, sometimes the player's dialogue said the exact same thing I said. It made me smile every time, and made me think even more that I really was the main character. ^v^

ReplyDeletei loved both demos amazingly! they were captivating and i really loved them, but please take your time man, this project seems really big and i can't imagine how much stress you're under. im sure, even if we have to wait, it'll be amazing!
ReplyDeleteJust read your quick update, glad to hear from you but obviously your health comes before any and all of this. Whenever you're healthy and in a good place you can worry about this project, for now I wish you the absolute best of luck in dealing with your illness.

ReplyDeleteI found out about this game last week, I played the beta and I was very interested in the story and how it developed, I'm going to pay patron to see game updates, which apparently are good :D
